On an exposed moorland site, buffeted by harsh winds stands the ruin of Lower Whitley Farm, Crow Edge, Dunford, West Yorkshire. I have driven past it for years en route to Holmfirth. I've always been drawn to it with it's wild location and impressive presence.

In 2013, it was used for external shots as the site for the BBC adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier's 19th century novel 'Jamaica Inn' a dark tale of murder, mystery and passion.

When I photographed the old farm the light was sharp as the sun cut through the storm clouds. I liked the way the stone was illuminated against the dramatic sky .
