This is my first blog...ever!
What aspect of photography could I possibly write about that would be of interest and perhaps more crucially, do I feel confident to speak about?
Here goes...
It has not even been a year since I graduated from The photography Institute, London and dared to see, let alone refer to myself as a photographer. I am not a professional photographer, rather I am like many others, an amateur who is starting to embrace a passion and develop a relationship with my creative self. And, I am discovering that it takes a fair dose of self belief as well as courage to take those initial steps.
Creativity has lived within me, sometimes screaming to be unleashed, nourished, but so often, self doubt has made that voice quiet and I have retreated into the safety of an established comfort zone. I know I am not alone and it is this crucial realisation that I feel is the right place to start this blog.
As I take the steps necessary to carve the journey I desire in photography, I wish to share and encourage anyone who can identify with some of the internal struggles that can keep us stuck and afraid.
I will be honest...what is the point of not being?
It is my hope, that through the sharing of my journey, I may inspire you to have the courage to embrace your creative journey too. That we may all start to grow belief in our value and uniqueness and let's see where it takes us.
